A hybrid real-time face tracking system
نویسندگان
چکیده
A hybrid real-time face tracker based on both sound and visual cues is presented. Initial talker locations are estimated acoustically from microphone array data while precise local-ization and tracking are derived from image information. A computationally eecient algorithm for face detection via motion analysis is employed to track individual faces at rates up to 30 frames per second. The system is robust to nonlinear source motions, complex backgrounds, varying lighting conditions, and a variety of source-camera depths. While the direct focus of this work is automated video con-ferencing, the face tracking capability has utility to many multimedia and virtual reality applications.

Neural Network Performance Analysis for Real Time Hand Gesture Tracking Based on Hu Moment and Hybrid Features
This paper presents a comparison study between the multilayer perceptron (MLP) and radial basis function (RBF) neural networks with supervised learning and back propagation algorithm to track hand gestures. Both networks have two output classes which are hand and face. Skin is detected by a regional based algorithm in the image, and then networks are applied on video sequences frame by frame in...

متن کاملRobust, Real-Time 3D Face Tracking from a Monocular View
This paper addresses the problem of 3D face tracking from a monocular view. Dominant tracking algorithms in current literature can be classified as intensity-based or feature-based methods. Intensity-based methods track 3D faces based on the brightness constraint, assuming constant intensity of the face across adjacent frames. Feature-based trackers use local 2D features to determine sparse pai...
متن کاملIntegrating Multiple Visual Cues for Robust Real-Time 3D Face Tracking
3D face tracking is an important component for many computer vision applications. Most state-of-the-art tracking algorithms can be characterized as being either intensityor feature-based. The intensity-based tracker relies on the brightness constraint while the feature-based tracker utilizes 2D local feature correspondences. In this paper, we propose a hybrid tracker for robust 3D face tracking...
